Alley the loggerhead released today

We were lucky enough to watch her release after 1 year in animal hospital. 100's cheered for her as we watched her swim free to the sea. Precious.

Atlantic Ocean

The boy's first time in the Atlantic Ocean. They wanted surfboards as soon as they laid  eyes on the water.

Welcome Summer Vacation

 

The end of the school year is here and we are in full swing of our summer vacation. The garden is growing daily, flowers blooming and more coming on. Time in the hammock and in the lake have been activities that no doubt mean June is here really here.

We are all so happy to feel the warmth of the sun.

First Grade Meets Master Artist Piet Mondrian

This year I have been volunteering for Meet the Masters program in Spencer's class. Each month we meet a new artist and do some type of art work that resembles the work of the artist of the month. Each time the student's art work turns out so beautiful. I just love to see the concentration, questions and different work from each student using the same materials. We do a short lesson on the artist themselves too, I love to hear the comments whenever I show the portrait of the artist too.
