This is a funny picture. Yes there is sand flying through the air! At me! The kids were being ultra goofy and playing at the edge of the river. After Jenny and I tried to be as silly possible to get them to stop throwing rocks and look at us for a photo, they just decided to chuck a handful of sand at us to make them and us crack up laughing. The good thing about all four of these kids is they only threw it once! and I got a photo of it.

A day at the beach with friends.

Frog eggs! Spencer found them under the ice.
We were excited to know where we could come back to in the spring and find frogs. Spencer was motivated to break all ice he found, just in case there were frog eggs under the ice getting too cold. When we found the eggs, most of them were wiggling around. Spencer felt better knowing they were actually okay, safe in their little jelly sack of an egg.
A frozen Saturday morning in the dunes....brrr!
The boys and I went exploring in the dunes. The cold was kind of fun, because all of the water had layers of ice. I watched and listened to the boys play "ice age" busting ice in all of the small pools and puddles of water at the bottom of the dunes. They really enjoyed stepping on the ice, picking up large pieces, just exploring the ice. We rarely have so much ice at once, it brought out energy and excitement.

A day home with Spencer= a walk to the lake
Spencer and I had a few extra days at home recently. The weather was great too, so we decided to take a walk down to Darlings hoping to get a nice view of the water from the docks. When we go there the owner said the docks had been damaged during a storm. They were being repaired and not to walk on them. We found the banks of the lake just as enjoyable. After a while we sat down at the picnic table for a snack. Your can see in the picture my purse I got from my Infusion Fibers. I love it! Abbey is so talented. I especially like the adjustable strap, button, and pleats (or is that a pintuck?) :) I don't know, but what I do know is I feel great wearing it. I have had so many compliments on it, even from people who care nothing about purses, notice the quality in the handmade purse. Thank you Abby!

Hanging from the ceiling!
Here is Jake hanging from the trusses in our kitchen. He thought that was pretty cool. That same time as we had this whole in our ceiling the tempatures were down in the low 30's.
