Mount Rushmore National Monument

I knew when we left Oregon that I wanted to go to Mt. Rushmore. It was more beautiful than I had expected, just like the rest of our trip. We had been traveling all day and by the time we got to Mt. Rushmore the kids were pretty wound up. They ran ammuck most of the time, but we did get a few pics. Again I experienced the kindness in people and the diversity of the visitors at the National Monument. We had a great time, and I thought of a student friend of mine Ryland, because he has always been fascinated by the National Monument cards we have in our classroom, especially Mt. Rushmore
