Drawing & Coloring

Waiting for afternoon storm to pass. Thundering, lightening, rain, and wind.

Exploring the Wakulla River

This has been a tradition for us each time we come to Florida. We search for manatees the majestic giants. We count how many turtles we see. We get as close as possible to the alligators, before they scramble away. We're enchanted by the beauty of the cypress trees, Spanish moss and clear cool water from spring of Wakulla.

Low tide

An evening walk on the beach. Moments of solitude on the beach are treasured. A self portrait in the sea shells. The boys play at a distant sand bar. Loving the Gulf of Mexico at Alligator Point, Florida.

Alley the loggerhead released today

We were lucky enough to watch her release after 1 year in animal hospital. 100's cheered for her as we watched her swim free to the sea. Precious.

Atlantic Ocean

The boy's first time in the Atlantic Ocean. They wanted surfboards as soon as they laid  eyes on the water.

Florida

Visiting the former home to my sweetie. Spanish moss on the live oak trees is the epitome of Florida.

Welcome Summer Vacation

The end of the school year is here and we are in full swing of our summer vacation. The garden is growing daily, flowers blooming and more coming on. Time in the hammock and in the lake have been activities that no doubt mean June is here really here.
We are all so happy to feel the warmth of the sun.
