Crater Lake National Park

It was majestic.

Elk River Camp-out

With only a few days left until Tres returns to work and kids to school, we took off for a camp out in nature. It was pretty challenging leaving home actually. We were all in a poor mood leaving. We knew we had to go despite the bad moods. Tres and I both had a feeling that we needed to get out in the woods next to a river in the quiet of nature and magic of water. We were right too. By the time we had set up our tent at its final destination. The mood shifted and we were all happy to be right where we were.  It was a wonderful place that we'll be back to for sure. So many rainbow trout, no people, clean clear water, and each other. We did it right. I am forever grateful for the ease and access to nature.

Diamond Lake

An unexpected stop at Diamond Lake left us wanting more time here. So many fun things to do, but we had little time. We managed to go boating, swimming and enjoy a meal on the lodge patio. We'll be back for sure for more of the same and then biking, hiking and paddle boarding. Shaping up to be a family tradition and hoping to bring a few more family members too.

Swimming

My happy place is swimming in the lakes, rivers, creeks, or ocean. This is a place I feel so alive. Where I feel connected to the season. Water is very healing to me, rejuvenating, and straight up fun! Sharing this swim with my sweet boy Spencer makes the swim even more special.
